Programme Overview

One motto of a thoughtful tester? ‘Question your assumptions!’ Even though I say this little phrase out loud frequently, as a powerful reminder to be suspicious of the things I perceive and conceive while I test, I sometimes ignore this heuristic. Alexandra Casapu

Alexandra will share a detailed experience report of how, and what, she tested in a context of remote collaboration. The presentation is based on real examples of what she missed and assumed, with the questions that could have helped. She will also relate the value she got from collaborating with another tester. You will find out how collaboration can keep your senses awake to help you improve your work and find relevant bugs.

Come to Alexandra's presentation and discover how she learned that being aware of what she focuses on when testing, is one way of dealing with unknown unknowns.

Speaker Bio:
Alexandra is a tester at Altom, a start-up in Cluj, Romania, that focuses on providing software testing services. The environment she works in has facilitated her learning on the importance of context in testing, the exploratory approach, and caring a great deal about improving her testing skills.
