Our Events

Software Skillnet enables a range of networking events and seminars for the sector to allow companies to hear from leading experts and address topics of interest to specific staff groups. We deliver many of these events in partnership with voluntary groups of professionals with interest in specific knowledge areas  within the sector.


Some of our regular events include:

TechBrew- Software Business Leaders on the soapbox...Hear their stories, and ask questions.


Technology Ireland in association with the Software Skillnet regularly host the very popular TechBrew events. TechBrew is held in a great pub in Dublin's city centre - 4 Dame Lane. It allows software company management and technology leaders, to get together to chat over a beer. 
 
Techbrew features companies 'on the soapbox' - literally! with company leaders sharing thier experiences, the lessons learnt, war stories, and the keys to success, with others in the sector. 
 
These sessions take place every two months and are open to all members of the Software Skillnet at no cost, but booking is essential.


SoftTest - Software Testers Meet-ups


SoftTest is Ireland's Independent Software Testing Special Interest Group. SoftTest work with the Software Skillnet to facilitate knowledge sharing among software test professionals.
 
SoftTest seminars are held in Dublin every 2 months in association with the Software Skillnet the Irish Sofware a forum for Software Test Professionals. It is always a lively event with a wide range of topic and speakers.
 
These seminars are open to all test professionals at no cost, but booking is essential.


ProductCamp Dublin - The Annual Event for the Product Management Community


In 2012 the Software Skillnet brought the first Product Camp to Dublin. This popular ‘un-conference’ brings together product managers throughout the sector to present to one another, learn and network. The event is now ongoing and a group run of product managers across the sector voluntarily now organize the event each year.
